You might look at the childlike things I do as a mom and think I'm weak. I feel the joy in each adventure I have and see how strong I have become.
You might think there are things I gave up when I became a mom. I know how much I have gained and the things I have learned.
You might cringe thinking about the nights I went without sleep and how exhausted I looked those first weeks. I know the precious moments my child and I spent together in the darkness, consoling each other through those long nights. My sleepy eyes in the morning, a testament of my love and devotion.
You might think my job is to raise my child to be well-behaved and successful. I am proud to be raising them to be respectful of themselves and to teach them to know that whatever they choose to be or do, they are enough.
You may think being a mom takes away any chance of a career. I have many careers. I am a chauffer, a chef, a party planner, a doctor, a teacher, a costume designer, a friend. I am a superhero.
You may think of motherhood as a full-time job. It is. But motherhood is the most precious gift I have been given.
You may think that I have no room to love anyone else. Becoming a mom made me learn that there are places in my heart I never knew existed.
You may think a child can push too hard and lose a mother's love. My love is unconditional and will never die. Even after I am gone, my love for my child will still be with them.
You may think that being a mom takes away my life. Being a mom gave me life!
Above all... Happy Birthday to my beautiful child and thank you!
