I was recently listening to the song "Bigger" by Beyoncé. I have heard it many times before but this time I was really paying attention to the lyrics. The truth behind the words is so powerful.
"We are all a part of something bigger".
When we think about the fact that there are over 8 billion people on this planet, we might feel small and insignificant. A tiny entity living a mundane life, doing the same things day in and day out that we believe we are supposed to do. Something bigger is out there, and we are a part of it.
How old were we when we started to believe that there was a set path we had to follow? Did someone specifically tell us this was the way we must live our life, were we taught this in school or by our parents, or did we just become a sheep following the pack all on our own?
So how can we be so important in a world of over 8 billion other people?
Stop and examine more closely the life you are living. The time we have on this planet will pass by so very quickly. We want to make sure we are living each day the way we want, doing things that are awesome for ourselves and the people whose lives we touch, even if they don't seem it at the time.
If we think that our contribution to this planet makes no difference in the scheme of all its grandness, we'd be wrong. As with every other human on this planet, we are all born with a gift. Some people are lucky enough to recognize their gift early on and start using it while still very young. Some people find it later on in life or might even stumble upon it by accident. There are those that are still not quite sure of what their gift is. Keep looking. It will eventually present itself to you, and your contribution to the world, no matter how small it seems at the time, will not be insignificant.
"Not just a spec in the universe". We are all a part of the universe and everything it has to offer is ours. All we need to do is ask and believe. "They hid that in fine print, take the pen and re-write it". We need to believe that we can make our own rules and write our own future. As a child we all believed that we could do everything, and our imagination allowed us to do anything we wanted. But at some point as we grew, society taught us that it was vain and selfish to believe we could have it all. You can have it all, as long as it does not hurt another.
We should raise our children to know how powerful their thoughts really are. Everything is energy, even our thoughts. This energy can actually make our thoughts become things. Is this magic wishing? No. But it is magical what we can create from believing and acting on those thoughts. Believe enough in what you want that nothing can stop you from achieving it.
Speak your dreams out loud, every day, and believe that the universe hears. How many times have you thought about something, and you suddenly see it everywhere? The universe is listening.
"Step out of your estimate, step in your essence and know that you're excellent". Work towards achieving your dreams, no matter how big they seem or how ridiculous you think others will think they are. They are your dreams. Each small step you take will lead you towards your dream if you truly believe in it and put the work into achieving it.
You and the things you think about, and the words you speak are more powerful than you can ever imagine.
Above all... Remember, if you feel insignificant, you had better think again. YOU are part of something way bigger!
Well said. Very Powerful and Enlightening. 😊
