The love I feel for my children is one of the greatest loves I will ever know and I am so very proud to be their mommy. I have watched each of them grow to become truly amazing people and if it is all possible, I love them more and more each day!
I now have the privilege of being called Nana.
No words can describe the way I felt when I got to hold my first grandchild and gaze upon the face of this perfect, sweet little baby boy. Then I was gifted with the same happiness when my second grandson was born.
I believe my children know that I would do anything for them and that I am there if ever they need me. I want my grandchildren to feel that same unconditional love.
There is a grandchildren's room in my house and when they come to visit, they drop everything and run to it, knowing it is "their" space, with all their things waiting for them. Once again, the house is filled with squeals of laughter, little footsteps running around and the sweet sound of "Nana can I please have...". Of course, they can have anything they desire. After all they are my grandchildren.
Being Nana means I get to play hide and seek, build forts and get chased around the house. I get to make the most awesome ice cream sundaes with lots of sprinkles and chocolate on top. I get to read the same book five times and make shadow puppets on the ceiling.
When we go for walks, I get to splash in the puddles, jump over the cracks on the sidewalk and write my name in the mud with a stick. Simple joys that I had forgotten about. I secretly hope the neighbors are outside so I can proudly brag, "These are my grandsons".
When our visit comes to an end and we say our goodbyes, there are lots of hugs and kisses that need to last until the next time I see those tiny faces. I clean up some toys, the dishes, vacuum and wash the sticky floors, and the house is quiet again. How I can't wait to have them back!
I love being a mom and now I have the beautiful blessing of being Nana to two of the sweetest little boys... and their soon to be brother or sister!
I have the privilege of being Adels mom.The way she portrays herself in her writing is exactly the the way she is,loving, caring always trying to make others happy. A truly beautiful soul.I love you Adele.Mom ❣
